MCTRL4K Input Resolution Settings

Input resolution is able to be set through the following three methods:

Method I: Preset

Choose a proper resolution from the standard preset, or move on to method II.

Method II: Custom

Rotate the knob to set the custom width (progressively increases by 4 for the DP/HDMI source and by 2 for the DVI source), custom height (progressively increases by 1 ) and Custom Refresh Rate. Then, select Apply and press the knob to apply. If not applied, custom resolution setting will be unavailable.

Remarks: Support up to 4092 x 2160@60Hz.

Method III: Set the custom resolution in Windows PC (for ultra-high resolution settings).

When the DP/HDMI source is in use and the image width or height is greater than 4095 pixel, the resolution can be set only through the custom resolution setting of the NVIDIA graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti are recommended).

Remarks: Support up to 7680 x 1080@60Hz and 1080 x 6000@60Hz.

Setting steps are as follows:

1. Right-click the desktop, and then select NVIDIA Control Panel to enter the operation page. Click Display --- Change Resolution in the left pane. Select NOVA MCTRL4K and then directly click Customize:

2. At the bottom of the pop-up Customize dialogue box, click Create Custom Resolution.

3. In the Create Custom Resolution dialogue box, set the horizontal pixels, vertical lines, refresh rate, color depth (choose 32) and scan type (choose Progressive), and change the timing standard to Manual. Then, use the template MCTRL4K Ultra-High Resolution Setting Generator (Rev 1.0) to calculate relevant parameters (Active pixels, Front porch (pixels), Sync width (pixels), Total pixels, Polarity and Refresh rate) and manually enter the parameter value into the corresponding blank space. Ensure that the pixel clock must be less than or equal to 595.0000 MHz. At last, click Test.

4. In the displayed pop-up dialogue box showing that the test is successful, click Yes to save the resolution that was set just now.
